Dr Jeremy Turner

Jeremy is a sculptor and Fine Art practitioner who has exhibited widely in the UK and Europe. He is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors and has sculptural works held in private collections.

My research is predominantly practice based and sculptural in output, with drawing as a related and emerging field of activity. Interests that inform this practice include history and anecdote, memory, the phenomenology of materials and form and the construction of narrative and meaning.

My teaching interests are predominantly studio based and encompass all Fine Art disciplines with a particular emphasis on sculptural practice, process and technique. I teach into modules at all undergraduate levels, have some MA input and have joint supervision responsibilities for a number of PhD researchers. I have held a number of academic posts at UK institutions where my practice has informed and underpinned my teaching.
